Losing the Cold Tile in Brooklyn Heights
Nothing in the room changed but the floor — which turned out to be the whole problem.

BeforeAfter- The job
- Glossy cream ceramic tile running the full length of the living and dining area: cold underfoot, loud, and reflecting every ceiling recessed light straight back up.
- What we did
- Tile lifted and the slab leveled, then wide-plank engineered oak laid the length of the room toward the light, with new baseboard through the living, dining and hall.
- Timeline
- Four days on site
- The result
- The same sofa, the same television unit, the same curtains — and a level that finally feels warm, quiet and considerably more expensive.
