One Wall, One Color, One Weekend
The cheapest change in the whole trade, and the one clients most often get wrong.

BeforeAfter- The job
- A flat builder's-white living and dining space where nothing had a focal point, and every piece of dark furniture read as a silhouette against the wall behind it.
- What we did
- The single wall behind the television unit taken to a soft sage, cut in against the existing crown molding and casings, with the adjoining walls and ceiling left as they were.
- Timeline
- One long weekend
- The result
- Not one object in the room moved. The dark wood finally sits against something instead of disappearing into it — which is exactly the sort of thing worth testing on a photo before anyone opens a gallon.
